Here's my story...
I was sitting on the carpet of my parents living room holding a screwdriver taking apart my parents VCR and I thought to myself “This is SO cool!” Well, my parents didn’t think that was cool. When I was a kid, I loved taking everything apart and sometimes putting it back together. Nothing was safe in the house I grew up in. I took everything apart from flashlights to VCRs. I loved Legos and I built a Lego city that I often destroyed and rebuilt over and over. I loved figuring out how things worked and fixing them if they broke. It’s just how I’ve always been.
One day when I was 16 years old I was sitting on the couch on a hot summer day when the strangest thing happened: the Air Conditioning unit, TV, and some of the lights turned off suddenly. It wasn’t a blackout. Like many people, my dad was frustrated, my mom was confused, and I was concerned about the house when my dad told us the circuit breaker was not tripped. I thought to myself “I can figure this out!” and my parents looked to me to fix it, which to no one’s surprise I was already figuring it out before they asked. As a family we worked to isolate the problem flipping light switches in the house then I had the brilliant idea to grab one of the green light bulbs from Christmas that I can plug into a wall outlet and I started finding outlets that were not working. Out of frustration, my dad stomped on the floor and the lights briefly flickered. I said “Ah ha!” as I started wiggling the plug into each dead outlet until I found one that flickered the light on and off every time I wiggled it. I jumped in excitement when I found the cause of the problem. We found out that loose wiring was melting the outlet and was close to starting a fire!! I just found a problem that could have burned down the house or worse, took my family’s life. We got it fixed and we were on our way. I felt so relieved, and my parents were so happy that I found the problem!
I got a degree in electrical engineering and worked on fixing some of the largest equipment in the world and now I help people just like you solve problems.
I helped one company solve a problem that generated over $30 mil in revenue! If I didn’t help them, it would have cost them $30 mil.
I felt so empowered, joyful, and confident in my ability to make an impact in the world when I solved that problem. It felt so heroic!
I believe that there is a solution to every problem.
How much does it cost you being stuck, frustrated, and confused when faced with new and strange problems? It could be costing you hundreds of dollars, thousands of dollars, or even millions of dollars banging your head on the wall.
In the free PDF document I'll send you I’m going to teach you the five powerful processes that I use every time I’m faced with a new and strange problem.
“Good questions inform, great questions transform.”
-Ken Coleman
“The best way to get a better answer is to start asking a better question.”
-Tony Robbins
It’s no surprise that it’s not just me that recognizes the power of questions!
This is always the first thing I do when I’m stuck, frustrated, and overwhelmed facing an obstacle.
Here are the reasons I ask questions:
Clarify the understanding of the obstacle.
Challenge the information presented to me.
Challenge my existing knowledge and experience.
Discover new opportunities.
Spark curiosity.
Identify the root cause of the obstacle.
“Imagination will often carry us to worlds that never were. But without it we go nowhere.”
-Carl Sagan
“There is a version of ourselves we haven’t met yet. Imagine it. See it. Feel it.”
-Jim Kwik
The power of visualization cannot be ignored.
It has helped me overcome obstacles so fast that some people think I’ve got the magic touch. Anyone can do it!
Here are the reasons I use my imagination:
See myself overcoming the obstacle.
Develop a plan of action.
See things I can’t see in front of me.
Try ideas out and experiment with options.
Find descriptive language to communicate effectively.
Identify the root cause of the obstacle.
“To do anything to a high level, it has to be total obsession.”
-Conor McGregor
“One reason so few of us achieve what we truly want is that we never direct our focus; we never concentrate our power. Most people dabble their way through life, never deciding to master anything in particular.”
-Tony Robbins
When I commit myself, people are often unprepared for the amazing results that follow.
Commitment will accelerate forward progress!
Here are the reasons I ask questions:
Commit to success.
Hyper focus.
Create a sense of urgency & motivation.
Push through difficulties.
Make distractions unbearable.
Identify the root cause of the obstacle.
